“A Year in Burgundy”: 90 minute film in post-production

A Year in Burgundy” is a new theatrical 90-minute documentary, with a one-hour version for PBS.
It features a year in the life of the wine-makers of Burgundy, France. The film was shot on location
throughout 2011 (April, May, June, August, September). Principal photography was completed at a
wine-and-food pairing at renowned gourmet haven Blackberry Farm in Tennessee during December.
Final scenes were shot among the frozen vineyards in Burgundy in January.

Post-production continues: editing will be complete by June, followed by online and sound sweetening.
The first sneak preview will be held on July 28 at the International Pinot Noir celebration in Oregon.

Reinventing Yourself on PBS stations nationally in May

Why and how did they take this step? In the final story, creativity and mentoring helped the Chickasaw nation to redefine its future. This is the second film in InCA’s ReCreating America series

8 Ways to Wellbeing: new psychology project

Research has begun on a new multi-media documentary project featuring the work of
Dr. Roger Walsh, Professor of Psychiatry, Anthropology and Philosophy at U.C. Irvine.
Titled “8 Ways to Wellbeing”, this will investigate how TLC’s (Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes) can
positively impact both psychological and physical health.

The producers will create a new inspirational DVD, sign up volunteers and film the results of their
lifestyle changes over a six-month period. The resulting 60-minute documentary will be nationally
distributed on PBS. A new website will offer information and community support for those who
choose to participate in the “8 Ways” program.

Producer and Director of Research is
Lizzie Kennard.
Full production is targeted to commence in late Summer 2012

The Lute Maker’s Daughter: new animated film

First-stage production continues on InCA’s first-ever animated film, a half-hour fantasy
set in ancient China, based on historically accurate backgrounds and research.
The script is now complete.Storyboards and soundtrack are now being created.

James Kennard is the concept artist and lead animator.
Based on a book by Dan Liebowitz and Barbara Kanowick, the film will be targeted at
a worldwide family audience and launched at animation festivals internationally.
If successful, this will be the first in a series of animated films featuring Chinese history.
Completion funding is being sought currently from Chinese and American sources.

Second wine film, “A Year in Champagne,” in production

Our second film on fine wine, A Year in Champagne, completed its first location shoot in April.
Featuring the history and mythology of Champagne, it will feature intimate portraits
of wine-makers and their families, and reveal some of the secrets of their wine-making.
Future location shoots will take place in June, September (the harvest) and December.

“Journey of the Universe” is a documentary epic written and presented by Brian Swimme, co-written and executive-produced by Mary Evelyn Tucker, produced and directed by David Kennard and Patsy Northcutt, with location producer Lizzie Kennard. The film, set in the Greek island of Samos, is a unique and exciting parable about the past 14 billion years, with stunning special effects.

“Deep Waters”: new arctic documentary

Production has been completed on InCA’s first 7-minute doc story set in the Arctic.
Pilot filming took place in August in Pangnirtung, a tiny Inuit community on Baffin Island:

Funds are now being raised to continue this project as a Canadian-US co-production
The full 60/90-minute film will feature Inuit families as they battle year-round
for survival in this harsh but beautiful place.
