In Memory of David Kennard, InCA’s Co-Founder and Senior Producer
October 29, 2021 4:49 am Leave your thoughtsWe are sad to relate the passing of David Kennard on August 16th 2021, just shy of 76. In the last years of his life after a cancer diagnosis he saw through InCA’s last two feature documentaries, wrote several plays, and completed a characteristically entertaining memoir: ’So That’s a Wrap: 50 Years of Fun and Adventure Making Documentary Films’, published in large format on Amazon.
David established InCA’s California branch after moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1988, since when many talented people have passed through the company’s doors and gone on to make their careers. His death is a great loss for all who worked with and knew him, including (myself) his son James.
As of the present InCA has closed down as a day-to-day business. However, many of its shows continue to be readily available and any enquiries can be directed to James at jkennard88@gmail.com, who continues on David’s path in film.
