‘The Book Makers’ airing on Public Broadcast Stations starting October 12th

InCA is glad to announce that our latest feature documentary ‘The Book Makers’ is being is being shown on public broadcasting stations, presented by American Public Television. The first air dates begin October 12, covering most of the US market. Check here on the film’s website for an updated list of air dates, and as always check local listings.

The film has also screened virtually at festivals including Woods Hole FF in Massachusetts, San Francisco DocFest, Port Townsend FF in Washington state, and currently the Mill Valley Film Festival & Doclands in the Bay Area CA October 8-18th, as well as Doctober in Washington state Oct 9-29th.

About the film: The Book Makers is a 1-hour documentary that pulls back the curtain on the people who are keeping books alive in the 21st century.  From the esoteric world of book artists to the digital libraries of the Internet Archive, the film spins a tale of the enduring vitality of the book.

The film was directed by James Kennard, Executive Produced by Nion McEvoy and Leslie Berrimen (Won’t You be my Neighbor, California Typewriter); Senior producer David Kennard; Cinematographer Jamie Lejeune; Sound Design by Mark Escott.
